Peterson220_0326A nice honor coming up for former Seahawks kicker Todd Peterson (1995-1999), who will be inducted into the Athletes in Action Hall of Faith. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 16, in Xenia, Ohio.

As the 9th pick in the 7th round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the N.Y. Giants, Peterson would actually see his first NFL action the following season as a member of the Arizona Cardinals – in 2 games – before joining the Seahawks in 1995.

With the Seahawks for five seasons, Peterson was perfect on all of his point-after attempts during that stretch; and was a then-career best 85% on his field goal attempts in 1999 (34-40). He was also named the NFL Man of the Year in 1996.

He would go on to play for Kansas City (2000-2001), Pittsburgh (2002), San Francisco (2003-2004), and Atlanta (2005), when he then retired.

Peterson and his wife, Susan, currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
