Legends & the 2018 Special Olympics

Four thousand athletes and coaches from all 50 states, 14 sports, and 10,000 volunteers. Inspiring numbers for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games recently held in Seattle. Among those volunteers were a number of Seahawks Legends, who were front and center welcoming the athletes to town, walking with them onto the field during the opening ceremonies, and coaching them during the flag football competitions. Jordan Babineaux & Winners for Life

Seahawks Legend Jordan Babineaux was the keynote speaker at the Seattle Rotary Club’s March 14 luncheon. He talked about maintaining good habits and discipline in life. It was all part of the Rotary’s celebration of 44 students in the Seattle Public Schools who have overcome extreme adversity with the help of the Winners For Life (WFL) program. WFL is a foundation that offers scholarships to at-risk youth.

He shifted to center in 2007 after the retirement of former center Robbie Tobeck following the 2006 season. He went on to play for the Chicago Bears (2011-2012) and Tennessee Titans (2013-2014), and then retired from the NFL.
