Former Seahawks tight end John Carlson has decided to retire from the NFL. The 30-year-old Notre Dame product dealt with a concussion late in 2013 with Minnesota, but did not indicate why he made the decision to call it a career in a statement released Tuesday. "After much thought and consideration, my wife Danielle and I know that this is best decision for us," said Carlson in a statement released by the Arizona Cardinals, his most recent team. Weighing in at 7 lbs., 13 ounces, and measuring 21 inches, Katelyn joins big brother William in the Carlson household. Carlson played college football at Notre Dame, where he was a two-year starter at tight end. He was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
