Kenny Easley’s Enshrinement Speech

Well, good evening! To all the family and friends and lovers of football all across America, and the world, thank you for being here today. I'd like to start by sharing a passage from the Bible that I've leaned on and counted on, and trusted with all certainty through the years. And that would be Philippians 4 and 6, and it says: be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication. With thanks giving, let your request be known to God. I was first nominated for the Hall in 1997; twenty years later, be anxious for nothing. The Hall of Fame was dropped on the shoulders of Kenny Easley like a pair of shoulder pads. Some folks ...

A Visit with Red Bryant

That Joseph Anthony "Red" Bryant wore the same #79 jersey number as Jacob Green while with the Seahawks is no coincidence. Bryant is married to Janelle Green, Jacob's daughter, which makes Jacob Red's father-in-law. As a defensive tackle for the Seahawks for 6 seasons (2008-2013), Bryant had a highlight-filled 2011 season: returning an interception for a touchdown in a game against the Bears in Chicago, setting a team single-season record with 4 blocked kicks, and receiving the team's Steve Largent Award. He would go on to play 1 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2014) and 1 season with the Arizona Cardinals (2015) before retiring from the ...

A Visit with George Dyer

The Seahawks in the 1980s sported a powerhouse defensive line featuring Jeff Bryant, Jacob Green and Joe Nash, and the man behind their success was defensive line coach George Dyer.
