Seahawks Legends Run for Sickle Cell

Seward Park along Lake Washington was the site for the 13th Annual Sickle Cell Run, held on Saturday, September 15. Several Seahawks Legends turned out for the event, and all had one thing in common: they were teammates of fellow Legend Bobby Engram, who lost his daughter Bobbi from complications of sickle cell on August 25. Sean Locklear, Lofa Tatupu and Marcus Trufant were all teammates with Bobby, and all were members of the Super Bowl XL team as well. Legends on College FB HoF Ballot

Five Seahawks Legends and two Seahawks coaches are on the 2019 ballot for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced the names, including 76 players and six coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 100 players and 32 coaches from the divisional ranks. Dwaine Board - Cleveland Browns Defensive Line Coach Board was Oakland's defensive line coach in 2009 after spending six seasons with the Seahawks (2003-2008), where he worked for then-Seahawks head coach and now Browns president Mike Holmgren. Former wide receiver Bobby Engram has joined the San Francisco 49ers as an offensive assistant, and former wide receiver Ricky Proehl joins the Carolina Panthers as an offensive consultant.
