A Visit with John Yarno

Yarno played center for the Seahawks for six seasons (1977-1982), becoming a starter in the 1978 season. Born in Spokane, WA, he played college football at Idaho, where he became the first Vandal to be named to the Division 1 All-American First-Team in 1976. That honor also included an appearance on the Bob Hope Christmas Special in December, 1976, where Hope introduced each member of the All-American Team. Yarno and his wife Sandy reside in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

A Visit with Efren Herrera

A popular personality during his four seasons (1978-1981) as a kicker with the Seahawks, Herrera is probably best remembered for teaming up with QB/placeholder Jim Zorn on a number of memorable fake field goals. His foot also won several games in the final seconds of play, and his work off the field with the USO led to a friendship with comedian Bob Hope, the face of the USO itself.
