Ron Heller is in the Money

An NFL player has to master a pretty thick playbook if he wants to have a successful career, and it was no different for former Seahawks tight end Ron Heller.
Heller enjoyed a seven-year career in the NFL, including stops in San Francisco (1987-88), Atlanta (1989), and Seattle (1990 and 1992). He was a member of the 1988 49ers team that won Super Bowl XXIII, and he scored five touchdowns during his career, including one with the Seahawks in 1990.
Finishing his career with the Seahawks in 1992, Heller stepped his game up considerably by entering the world of leveraged finance, of all things, with Smith Barney. And in 1994 he co-founded Peritus Asset Management, Inc. Based in Santa Barbara, CA, Heller is Senior Portfolio Manager for Peritus, where he also oversees portfolio management and trading activities.
Heller’s company now operates with approximately $492 million in assets under management that focuses on active fixed-income management. On February 18, 2010, AdvisorShares announced a partnership with Peritus, where Peritus will develop all future ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds) with AdvisorShares. That’s big time stuff.
And Ron will be glued to his financial playbook to make sure his clients get a $$ win at the end of the day.
