Remembering Louis Bullard

Louis Eugene Bullard, age 53, of Franklin, TN, passed away April 18, 2010. After a standout college football career as an offensive tackle at Jackson State University, Louis continued his success in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks (1978 – 16 games, 1979 – 3 games, 1980 – 16 games) and Cleveland Browns. He played three years in the USFL and retired from professional sports in 1985. Louis worked as the Distributor Sales Manager in Nashville, TN for Miller-Coors, and served as a volunteer and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Louis is survived by wife Dorothy Harris Bullard, daughter Ashley Bullard, son Alex Bullard, mother Cora Lee Bullard, brothers Sam (Bernice) Bullard, Charles & Craven Bullard, and sisters Delois (Lorenzo) Jones & Callen Bullard.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home (615-794-2289), and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 5891 Nolensville Pike, Nashville, TN 37211. Rev. H. Bruce Maxwell officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
