It was a double treat for former Seahawks TE Ron Howard (1976 – 1978), who was recently presented with a golden football as part of the NFL’s Super Bowl Honor Role campaign, and was honored with “Ron Howard Day” as proclaimed by the Seattle City Council. Ron is an asst. vice principal at Aki Kurose Middle School in Seattle.

The golden football will actually reside at Pasco High School, where Ron played prep football. A letter to Pasco High School from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the golden football presentation, which took place on April 22. He was a member of the Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl X team in 1975, the year before he joined the Seahawks on their 1976 inaugural roster.

Ron was also joined by another former Seahawk, Anthony Davis, in Pasco. Davis was a member of the Super Bowl XXXL Champion Baltimore Ravens, and was a linebacker for the Seahawks in 1992-1993.
