Frank Beede to be Inducted into the Antioch Sports Legends Hall of Fame

Congratulations to former Seahawks offensive lineman Frank Beede, who will be inducted into the Antioch (Calif.) Sports Legends Hall of Fame in October, 2015. Beede graduated from Antioch High School in 1991, where he lettered in three sports: football, wrestling and track. He became the BVAL heavyweight wrestling champion in his senior year. He pursued football in college, playing on the offensive line as a guard for three seasons at U.C. Berkeley. He played in the 1992 Citrus Bowl and 1993 Alamo Bowl, and earned honorable mention for the All-Pac 10 Conference in 1994. Former Seahawks tight end John Carlson has decided to retire from the NFL. The 30-year-old Notre Dame product dealt with a concussion late in 2013 with Minnesota, but did not indicate why he made the decision to call it a career in a statement released Tuesday.
