The team's long-time facilities manager, 65-year-old Dale Cramer, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, March 20. Almost immediately, Seahawks players past and present started tweeting about how much they'll miss him. Russell Wilson's tweet said, "We will miss you Dale Cramer. Jacob Green to be Inducted into the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame

March 12, 2014 By Bill Boehlke Congratulations to former Seahawks defensive end Jacob Green, who will be one of nine new members inducted into the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame in April. The Southwest Conference (SWC) Hall of Fame is sponsored by the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. There will be an induction ceremony and luncheon recognizing this second class to be inducted since 1995 on Monday, April 7th, in Houston, Texas. Green was an outstanding defensive end at Texas A&M University. He was an All-American selection in 1979 after compiling 134 tackles and a school-record 20 quarterback sacks. March 12, 2014 By Bill Boehlke Former South Carolina State All-American and Seahawks offensive lineman Edwin Bailey will be one of eight inductees into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame. The enshrinement ceremony and banquet is set for May 12 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, SC. A Savannah, Georgia, native, Bailey was a South Carolina State offensive guard who earned I-AA All-America honors in 1980. A fifth-round NFL draft pick by the Seahawks in 1981, he enjoyed a stellar 11-year career (1981-91) before retiring with a knee injury.
