John Randle to be Inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame

December 28, 2010 By Bill Boehlke Congratulations to former Seahawks defensive tackle John Randle, who will be inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2010 this coming February. A native of Hearne, Texas, John played defensive tackle at Texas A&I and was a two-time Lone Star Conference Lineman of the Year, and he was named to the 1988 All-American team. John entered the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008. His NFL career spanned 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (1990-2000) and Seahawks (2001-03). December 13, 2010 By Bill Boehlke Congratulations to Jacob Green and Autry Beamon, who joined several other notable sports figures inducted into the 2010 Class of the Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame. The enshrinement was held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Dallas Marriot City Center in Dallas, Texas. Jacob was an All-American selection at Texas A&M in 1979 after compiling 134 tackles and a then school-record 20 quarterback sacks.
