Kendrick Easley Named to National All-Freshman Team

April 2, 2007 Mount Olive guard Kendrick Easley, son of Seahawks great Kenny Easley, was among 10 players nationwide selected to the 2006-07 Division II Men’s Basketball All-Freshman Team, as selected by basketball publication Division II Bulletin. Easley, who was named Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference Freshman of the Year, is the first-ever Trojan to be named to the national All-Freshman Team. A freshman from Norfolk, Va., Easley averaged 14.8 points per game and scored a team-high 21 points for Mount Olive in the first round of the East Regional of the 2007 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship.
